I wrote and recorded this song in the early nineties while watching my spouse deal with the loss of his best friend, Greg Davis who died of complications from AIDS at the young age of 28. Little did I know that over the years it would be a source of reflection for me on my journey to healing from my abuse. During the early days of my spiritual journey, I would imagine the words saying goodbye to my old way of believing.
I would like to dedicate this song not only to Greg, but to Vince Colice as well. He is the young man that I dedicate my book to. He also died at 28 of complications from AIDS. However, shortly before his death he had the courage to reveal to his mother that he had been molested by the same Catholic priest (perpetrator) as me. So it is an honor for me to dedicate this song not only to Greg, but to Vince as well. Goodbye For Now, my friends...
